The John Hanna Foundation: A Legacy of Redemption and Hope

What began as a painful loss became a powerful mission.

In 2005, my brother John Hanna passed away in a tragic car accident. But the story that lives on is not one of tragedy—it’s one of transformation. After battling addiction, John experienced a radical encounter with Christ. He went from brokenness to bold faith, becoming a pastor who led others out of the same darkness he once knew.

To honor his life and legacy, we established the John Hanna Foundation, a ministry built on healing, restoration, and second chances.

What We’ve Built So Far

  • A School in Uganda
We helped establish a school that now serves over 250 orphaned and underserved children. This school offers education, meals, spiritual formation, and—most of all—hope. It stands as a living testament to how God builds beauty from ashes.
  • The John Hanna Memorial Library at America’s Keswick
At the very place where John received healing—America’s Keswick in Whiting, NJ—we built a library in his name. It’s a space filled with resources for men in recovery, offering spiritual and educational support for those walking the same road John once walked.
  • Annual Christmas Outreach at Penn Station, NJ
Every Christmas, we gather in service at Penn Station to feed and minister to the homeless. It’s a sacred tradition rooted in John’s heart for the forgotten—those society passes by, but God never does.
  • Rehabilitation Support for Addicts
We also provide financial assistance for individuals seeking recovery through America’s Keswick, making it possible for them to receive life-transforming care even when they cannot afford it.
